MEET THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

  • Paul Smith

    LEAD PASTOR

Paul Smith is committed to creating a community of faith that thrives through their love of God and people.

Paul has been the Lead Pastor of FBC Coldwater since April, 2024.

He believes a church is so much more than words like “contemporary,” “traditional,” or “innovative.”

A great church resonates with community, love, friendship, and compassion!

Paul's teachings will inspire you to live genuinely and share the powerful story of God's deep desire to enrich our lives through a relationship with Jesus.

Paul married the love of his life, Gwyn, in 1988 and they have two adult children.

  • Josh House

    FAMILY PASTOR

Josh House has been in ministry in Arkansas, Texas, and his home state of Mississippi since 2008.

Josh has been the Family Pastor at FBC Coldwater since March, 2021.

Josh is passionate about helping everyone know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference in their sphere of influence.

As a pastor, he wants to equip the church to engage the community with the love of God, and break generational curses.

Josh has been married to his wife Brittany since May, 2009, and they have two daughters, Everly & Frankie.

  • James Overton

    WORSHIP PASTOR

After graduation from Blue Mountain College in 1997, James Overton has been in ministry in Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, and Mississippi since 1988.

James has been the Worship Pastor at FBC Coldwater since January, 2014.

He is passionate for worship, praise, and music, utilizing everything from choirs, praise bands, drama teams, black light teams, children’s choirs and dramas, and handbells. That passion is something he tries to relate to everyone every Sunday at FBC and “set the table” for the speaker to follow the song service.

As a pastor, he desires that every service brings you to the throne room of God.

He wants to see FBC thrive in every aspect of ministry, from music/worship children, youth, and senior adults, to the church explodes in ministry. The town of Coldwater itself explodes in revival and changes our community to the ends of the earth.

James has been married to his wife Tammy since August, 1996, and they have two kids, daughter Kaci, and son Ian.
